The post saw a reaction from weather presenter Carol Kirkwood, 56, who didn’t seem happy about not having a picture uploaded like her co-stars.

She replied: “Where are @sallynugent and me… C’mon @BBCBreakfast xxx,” alongside laughing emojis.

Dan responded to Carol’s message with a series of stunning images of the weather favourite.

The BBC Breakfast host praised the star as a “Queen” to his 557,000 Twitter followers.

He said: “Yes… come on @BBCBreakfast… you’ve missed off the Queen of Breakfast TV…”

Dan’s followers also showed their support for Carol with many gushing about the BBC regular.

One person said: “Only two words for Carol this morning, stunningly beautiful.”

“Carol is a stunning addition to breakfast,” said another.

A third added: “These are great pics! @carolkirkwood looks amazing.”

BBC Breakfast went on to acknowledge missing Carol out from their team photo.

Retweeting Dan’s pictures to their 280,000 followers, they said: “Ooops – the Queen of Breakfast TV was missing from our team photo this AM.”

Apologising to the weather star, they added: “Sorry @carolkirkwood. Thanks @mrdanwalker.”

Elsewhere, Dan revealed he was celebrating a special anniversary today.

The presenter announced it’s been three years since he first began hosting BBC Breakfast alongside Louise.
